Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

Monday, July 09, 2012

The Holy Bible in II Corinthians 9:7 records that: "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. " Surely there is a lot of power in giving  and it feels good to give a helping hand in a way that you feel happy about it.

I would say the ability is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and at the same time a gift. It roots from ones inner feelings and the understanding of the problems of others. One ability to put oneself in the shoes of others and be empathetic to people.
Giving does not only involve having property or money reach the person who is waiting for it but also takes the heart of the giver. When you give in cheerful heart, not having any groans but rejoicing in the giving, it becomes more of a blessing.

If you are giving something in a bad heart, and you feel like you should not even give after all, I ask that you don't give because it would not be worth it.

While manifesting your joy in giving, you will be moved to give more than even expected, not to show off anything, but to show care and extra concern to the person you are presenting that to.  Giving more than expected leaves you a hero of yourself.
